Okay, I'm a Nerd, Too

NerdTests.com says I'm a Cool Nerd God. What are you? Click here!
But I'm a weird one. I'm clearly a reader-geek.

I hate to say this, CyDog, but was there ever any doubt?

Odd that "God" would end up in your description of Nerdliness.

But I don't believe that wierdness was ever in dispute ;-)

I probably didn't even need to take the quiz to know what it would say. I was expecting a higher "Dumb/Dork/Awkward" score, though.

The complication is this, as Dave points out:

Since I'm both a "Cool Nerd God" and an atheist, does that mean I don't believe in myself? And if I don't, is it just a matter of self-esteem or does it involve an existential crisis.

Reminds me of a joke. Rene Descartes is on an airplane and the flight attendant asks him, "Would you like something to drink?"
Descartes replies, "I think not," and disappears.

Bwahaha!

Perhaps in this day, Rene would say

"I blog, therefore I am" ;-)

I had two reactions to this, Dave. The first was:

"Hehe. That's pretty funny."

The next was:

Descartes took enough license with his "Cogito ergo sum" formulation in the first place, since he's trying to establish that he exists, but in the first word of his statement he proclaims the existence of a self. The man begged the question like a mofo!

And then I realized that neither response was probably worth posting.

So I posted both.
